Missouri on the national stage

2007. Guppy and Zach are over in Europe racing on the U.S. Junior National Team. Brad Huff won a medal at the Track Worlds this year. Java is racing on Jelly Belly. A whole slew of riders are coming out of the St. Louis and other Missouri metro areas with proven national team and pro potential. The Tour of Missouri is coming in September. All of these indicate to me that Missouri is THE preeminent Midwest state as far as cycling goes* (We always have been, in my opinion, but people just ignored us). Arguably, in fact, we are currently producing some of the best cyclists in the nation.

* However, we are falling behind terribly on the national blogging stage: First and foremost, Butthead refuses to update his blog. This is a tragedy. Secondly, Jimmiez gave up on his blog in early September of last year. This was perhaps the greatest cycling blog I have ever seen. We need to stay competitive on the all-important blogging front, also!
