Map of the century ride to Kirksville where my inevitable
78 mile marker meltdown occurs. Or, is it at 70 miles? Either way, its usually pretty comical, especially this year. Ask Michael
about this one.

Speaking of cx bikes and cx in general, this is a rig that I found just hanging out on my front porch. 2002 K2 Enemy with a bunch of spare Ultegra, Shimano 105, and even Superbe Pro parts from the 1990s. I even saw some canti brakes from 1993. We had coffee together and a nice chat. Suspicious looking character.

That's me on the left after taking two months off the bike.

My last blog faded away . . . . .

This is me finishing what has to be one of the hardest climbs I've ever done on the back side of Rist Canyon road in Ft. Collins. Thanks Dave for taking me on those killer rides.

The last serious riding that I did was back in August--on Rist Canyon Road in Ft. Collins, actually. After almost 2 months completely off my bike, I've decided (as I usually do after two months off the bike) that I'm crazy not to be riding and training for races. So, I've decided to focus on the State Cyclocross Championships in December in Kansas City. Even with the newborn cyclocross seems pretty reasonable.
