I guess I've been kidding myself for awhile--traveling to races with a one year old and what's turned out to be a busy working life is not possible in any great extent this fall. I guess I will strive to go to the state championship races, but I've realized that career and family just have to come first. Career development amounts to more money for my family, and that's a huge motivating factor.
I can't tell you how fun it has been to do the cyclocross practices, though--and I'm shooting for early December races and races into January and February. Not racing much does not diminish the fact that the two things I think about all the time are--my family and cycling.
