We went to the Reverend's belated birthday party tonight and it was very nice--delicious food and great company. After a long winter of hibernation and solo winter sports it was excellent to see everyone again. Looking forward to getting on my road bike and doing some Ashland rides with the group. Looks like Reverend is also going to have a complete recovery, which is fantastic.
On another, much more somber note, my sister Sarah was diagnosed this week with Thyroid cancer. If anyone out there knows anything about this cancer, or have friends or family who have been treated for it, we are all really clamoring for any information we can get our hands on. Please email me or post info on this blog if you can. As all of you who have met Sarah can attest, she is one of the most extraordinary and positive people out there, and she will lick this. She is very fit, mentally strong, and has a great attitude. This week has been a terrifying one for my extended family, however.
